📋 Description

• As a Site Reliability Engineer II at Axon Enterprise, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical cloud-native services that support Axon’s mission to Protect Life through innovative public safety technologies.
• Day to day, you will build robust, easy-to-use foundational platforms and tools that enable engineering teams to provision services rapidly, consistently, securely, and cost-effectively; write performant, maintainable code; debug complex issues in distributed systems; and promote self-service through comprehensive documentation.
• You will work within Axon’s SRE organization, collaborating closely with engineering teams across the company to influence architectural patterns, champion cloud-native best practices, and enable continuous delivery of cutting-edge features for products used by law enforcement and public safety agencies.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and observability while taking ownership of production systems, leading incident response, and mentoring peers—growing into a trusted technical leader who drives both reliability and innovation at scale.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of applicable experience in site reliability, cloud engineering, or related fields
• Experience managing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) and CI/CD platforms to automate infrastructure and software delivery
• Experience operating in Kubernetes environments (e.g., AKS, EKS) and utilizing observability tools (APM, logging, metrics) for debugging distributed systems
• Builder-operator mindset with proven production ownership, including uptime, SLOs, on-call responsibilities, and incident leadership
• Empathy to support the needs of software engineers and ability to educate teams on improved architectural patterns
