📋 Description

• As a Site Reliability Engineer in Platform Engineering at CodeRabbit, you will be instrumental in ensuring the high availability, performance, and scalability of an AI-powered code review platform that processes millions of code reviews, directly enabling the company’s mission to revolutionize human-machine collaboration in software development.
• You will design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, build and operate critical platform services using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt), and establish SLI/SLO frameworks to meet reliability commitments while optimizing performance and cost for systems handling millions of pull request analyses.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include implementing comprehensive monitoring and observability with Datadog or similar tools, conducting incident response and root cause analysis, designing chaos engineering practices, automating operational tasks (scaling, backup/recovery, security patching), and creating self-service platforms and infrastructure APIs that empower engineering teams to deploy and troubleshoot services independently.
• You will integrate security best practices into infrastructure, implement vulnerability scanning and compliance reporting, design secure network architectures (VPC, firewall rules, access control), and establish disaster recovery and business continuity procedures to protect critical AI-driven services.
• You will work with cutting-edge technologies including large language models, Kubernetes, Docker, Node.js, TypeScript, and GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, etc.), collaborating across engineering, product, and business teams to translate technical work into business impact while contributing to a culture of automation, learning, and inclusive innovation.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in SRE and platform engineering at scale, gain hands-on experience with AI/ML infrastructure, lead reliability initiatives for high-traffic systems, and develop leadership in automation, observability, and security—positioning you as a key enabler of CodeRabbit’s growth and technological advancement.

🎯 Requirements

• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps Engineering roles
• Strong background with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS, including compute, storage, networking, and managed services
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for building automation tools and platform services
• Advanced experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Strong Linux/Unix systems skills and experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
