📋 Description

• • As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Compute at Scaleway SAS, you will play a critical role in building, standardizing, and enhancing the reliability of the infrastructure that hosts Scaleway’s cloud and AI products, directly supporting the company’s mission to deliver a sovereign, sustainable cloud platform for European enterprises and public institutions.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities include building and standardizing infrastructure for Scaleway’s product catalog, onboarding product teams onto the platform, implementing and optimizing observability stacks (monitoring, alerting), automating infrastructure via GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (using tools like ArgoCD, FluxCD, Ansible, Salt, GitLab), deploying product stacks across new geographic regions (AZs), handling operational maintenance (MCO), participating in a weekly on-call rotation (~1 week/month including weekends), improving CI/CD pipelines and technical documentation, collaborating with product teams to bridge development and infrastructure gaps, ensuring security compliance (including secret management with Vault), and driving continuous improvement of systems and workflows through deep-dive troubleshooting and cross-functional problem-solving.
• • You will join a collaborative, international team of 6 SREs (including your manager, Kevin de Poulpiquet) based in Paris, operating in a stabilization phase focused on onboarding multiple products, deploying new Availability Zones, and establishing uniform practices with Scrum/Kanban methodologies and rotating product referents to mitigate bus factor risks. The team values knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and operational resilience in support of Scaleway’s sovereign cloud ambitions backed by the Iliad Group’s €3B AI investment.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native infrastructure, GitOps, observability, and SRE principles while gaining exposure to large-scale, multi-region deployments in a regulated, sustainability-focused environment. You’ll develop leadership in cross-functional collaboration, improve your ability to design resilient systems, and contribute to a platform serving major clients like France Télévisions, Hachette Livre, Photoroom, and the City of Copenhagen — all while advancing your career within the Iliad Group through internal mobility opportunities.
