  • • As a Software Automation Engineer at Bullhorn, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and quality of enterprise-scale software by building and maintaining automated test suites that mirror real customer workflows, directly contributing to the delivery of high-quality products that uphold the company’s Core Values of Ownership, Speed & Agility, and Service.
  • • You will work collaboratively across development teams to analyze requirements, design and implement automated tests using modern frameworks like UTAM, and support both manual and automated testing efforts to ensure seamless releases in a fast-paced, agile environment where continuous improvement is celebrated and rewarded.
  • • You will be part of Bullhorn’s dedicated Software Quality team within a people-first culture that values emotional intelligence, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration, where leaders prioritize employee development and promote from within, offering a supportive yet challenging environment for growth.
  • • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in test automation, gain hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing tools, and develop strong skills in test planning, execution, and issue triaging — positioning you for advancement into senior quality engineering or test leadership roles across Bullhorn’s global organization.
  • • You will contribute to maintaining robust regression and feature test suites as the product evolves, ensuring stability amid rapid innovation, while learning to balance speed with quality through proactive communication, analytical thinking, and a curious, feedback-driven mindset.
  • • You will actively share best practices and emerging technologies in automation with your team and the broader QA department, helping to elevate testing standards across the organization and drive innovation in quality practices.
  • • You will work with modern programming languages including TypeScript, JavaScript, and Java, applying your knowledge to build scalable, maintainable automation harnesses that integrate with CI/CD pipelines and support enterprise-level testing needs.
  • • You will engage in manual testing for complex functionality, writing detailed test cases and scenarios, triaging issues, and validating AI-generated outputs — blending human judgment with tool-assisted efficiency to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • • You will operate in a dynamic, remote-first EMEA environment (based in the Netherlands) where initiative is rewarded, learning is encouraged, and your contributions directly impact customer experience and product excellence.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • • Experience in testing, automation, or software development
  • • Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or similar programming languages
  • • Experience with Selenium WebDriver or similar UI automation tools and familiarity with Page Object Models
  • • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • • Ability to learn quickly and understand complex systems over time
  • • Proactive, curious, confident communicator, open to feedback and development
