📋 Description

• We're looking for a senior software development engineer to work with our Consumer teams, focusing on the customer journey from attraction to sign up and working closely with marketing and sales.
• The role involves designing and building production-grade systems that scale, helping operate and improve systems in production, writing clean and well-tested code, and tackling full-stack technical challenges and data flows.
• The ideal candidate has experience in an engineering role, preferably in a scale-up or fast-growing product environment, and a good understanding of APIs, data models, and system interactions.
• The team is working on a sophisticated logistics optimisation platform that connects customer demand with real-time driver availability, using intelligent matching, dynamic pricing, and AI to deliver a world-class service at market-beating prices.
• The platform is built using software and increasingly by machine intelligence, with a focus on reducing wasted miles, cutting emissions, and ensuring drivers earn fairly.
• The role involves collaborating with product and non-technical teammates to understand requirements, learning best practices around scalability, performance, and system design, and shipping value quickly, then iterating.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in an engineering role, ideally in a scale-up or fast-growing product environment
• A good understanding of APIs, data models, and system interactions
• Exposure to cloud environments and modern deployment workflows
• Comfort working with ambiguity and evolving requirements
• A bias toward action, shipping value quickly, then iterating
• Proactive mindset and a want to deliver above and beyond not just what you're tasked
• Solid coding skills and a solutions/problems solving approach
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence beyond your code
