📋 Description

• HighLevel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic Agency Module and Billing Team. This pivotal role is central to powering the foundational elements of our Agency Ecosystem, ensuring a seamless experience for our agencies and their clients in terms of onboarding, management, and monetization. As a key contributor, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and scaling the core systems that enable over 100,000 agencies to effectively run their businesses on the HighLevel platform, collectively serving more than 2 million businesses worldwide.
• Your work will directly impact the growth and operational efficiency of our agency partners. You will be responsible for building and enhancing critical components such as Agency Signup, Agency Billing, and the HighLevel Affiliate Program. These systems are integral to our white-labeled platform, allowing businesses to deliver customized experiences under their own brand, thereby fostering their success and loyalty.
• This role demands a strong understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architecture, distributed systems, and payment integrations. You will tackle complex challenges across both frontend and backend development, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform. The systems you help build are the backbone of HighLevel’s ecosystem, supporting a vast network of agencies and their downstream customers with robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure.
• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a technical leader, guiding architectural decisions and mentoring junior engineers. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineers to conceptualize and deliver innovative, user-friendly solutions. Your contributions will directly empower agencies to scale their operations faster and manage their businesses with greater ease and transparency.
• The Agency Module and Billing systems are at the heart of HighLevel’s rapid growth. You will be involved in architecting solutions that handle significant transaction volumes, manage complex billing logic, and ensure data integrity across our distributed databases. This includes optimizing performance for systems that process billions of API hits and billions of message events daily, managing hundreds of terabytes of data, and supporting over a million hostnames.
• Key responsibilities will include designing and implementing new features for agency management and billing, improving the performance and scalability of existing systems, and ensuring the security and compliance of our financial transactions. You will also play a role in troubleshooting complex issues, conducting code reviews, and contributing to the overall technical strategy of the team.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend development using languages like Go, Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Proven experience in designing, building, and scaling complex, distributed, multi-tenant SaaS applications.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), including data modeling and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with payment gateway integrations (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) and subscription management systems.
• Strong understanding of API design principles (RESTful, GraphQL) and microservices architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with frontend technologies (React, Vue.js, Angular) is a plus.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
