📋 Description

• Analyze product requirements to develop comprehensive test strategies and detailed test cases across unit, component, integration, and end-to-end levels of the test pyramid.
• Design, build, and enhance scalable automated test frameworks to support feature testing and AI-driven product workflows with a focus on testability and robustness.
• Develop and maintain automated UI and API tests using Selenium, pytest, and Playwright to ensure consistent and reliable software quality.
• Conduct performance and load testing using Locust to validate system scalability under varying usage conditions.
• Generate and analyze test reports using Allure to provide actionable insights into test coverage, failures, and system behavior.
• Report regressions and defects accurately to engineering teams with clear reproducibility steps and context.
• Influence product design by providing timely feedback on architecture and feature specifications to improve testability from the earliest stages.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional agile teams including software engineers, product managers, and UX designers to ensure shared ownership of quality outcomes.
• Implement automation for both frontend and backend components, ensuring coverage across microservices-based web applications including frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate data integrity and behavior across relational databases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI (preferred) or Jenkins to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback loops.
• Utilize Git for version control of test code, scripts, and configuration files in a collaborative development environment.
• Configure and manage test environments using Docker and Kubernetes to replicate production conditions and ensure consistent test execution.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure-as-code using Ansible playbooks where applicable to automate test environment provisioning.
• Execute tests in cloud environments with hands-on experience in AWS; familiarity with GCP or Azure is beneficial.
• Script and automate tasks in Unix/Linux/Mac OS environments using Bash shell scripting as a core competency.
• Support Windows-based automation workflows using PowerShell where required.
• Work with products featuring AI-driven, non-deterministic behavior, adapting test approaches to handle probabilistic outputs and edge cases.
• Ensure all testing activities align with SDLC and Testing Pyramid best practices to maximize efficiency and coverage.
• Maintain high standards of communication, organization, and collaboration across globally distributed teams to drive quality initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BE/BTech in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test, QA Engineer, or equivalent
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript for test automation
• Experience with Git and CI/CD systems (GitLab CI preferred or Jenkins)
• Experience developing or enhancing automation frameworks for UI/API/component/unit tests
• Experience working on AI products with non-deterministic behavior is a strong plus
