• • Obsidian Security is seeking a versatile Software Engineer to join our dynamic team as we redefine SaaS security in the era of agentic AI. This role is critical because it directly contributes to building and maintaining the core platform that protects enterprises from SaaS-based threats, ensuring the security of applications like Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and hundreds more. Your work will have a tangible impact on global organizations, including Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies, by reducing risk, detecting threats, and preventing breaches at their source.
• • As a Software Engineer at Obsidian, your day-to-day responsibilities will span a variety of product areas, reflecting the fast-paced and collaborative nature of our engineering team. You will:
• • Build and maintain product features across backend services, APIs, data systems, and user-facing workflows, ensuring they meet the needs of enterprise customers.
• • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, security researchers, and fellow engineers to ship reliable, well-tested software that solves real-world security challenges.
• • Contribute to services that process critical SaaS activity data, identity information, permissions, alerts, and security findings, ensuring these systems are performant, scalable, and secure.
• • Improve existing systems for performance, reliability, maintainability, and observability, addressing technical debt and optimizing workflows to enhance the platform’s effectiveness.
• • Write clear, well-tested code and actively participate in code reviews and design discussions, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• • Learn unfamiliar parts of the stack and step in to help where the team needs you most, whether it’s debugging a production issue, refining an API, or enhancing a data pipeline.
