We are on a mission to democratize programming, empowering anyone to build applications using natural language through our revolutionary agentic software creation platform. With millions of users globally, Replit is breaking down traditional barriers, and we need talented engineers to help us scale and innovate.
- • In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing a groundbreaking "Multiplayer Computer." This innovative system will enable seamless collaboration between humans and AI agents, allowing them to work together on shared shells, filesystems, and state in real time, all while ensuring conflict-free operations. Your contributions will directly impact how software is developed, making it more accessible and collaborative than ever before.
- • You will be responsible for building high-throughput backend applications and services that form the backbone of our platform. This involves architecting robust, scalable systems capable of handling massive user loads and complex operations. Your work will ensure the reliability and performance of Replit, supporting our rapid growth and expanding feature set.

Additionally, you will explore and develop innovative experiences that demand both creative problem-solving and strong algorithmic skills, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in a browser-based development environment.
- • You will act as a crucial bridge, connecting the worlds of prompt engineering and frontend engineering. This involves translating complex AI interactions and requirements into seamless, intuitive user experiences, ensuring that our platform is both powerful and easy to use for a diverse range of users.
- • This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring your presence in the Foster City, CA office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with telecommuting permitted on other days. Incidental domestic travel may be required for specific project needs.
- • By joining Replit, you will be part of a company that values innovation, collaboration, and making a significant impact on the global developer community.
