📋 Description

• Join Alkami, the J.D. Power-certified leader in cloud-based digital banking, and help 19.5 million end-users bank smarter every day. As a Software Engineer you will own the design, development, and delivery of high-impact features such as electronic statements, payment controls, and fraud-protection workflows that directly affect how millions of consumers and businesses manage their money.
• Architect and implement clean, scalable, object-oriented code in Java or C# across the full stack, from responsive web UIs to resilient back-end services. You will leverage modern design patterns, data structures, and relational or NoSQL databases to ensure every feature is performant, secure, and maintainable.
• Build rock-solid integrations with third-party vendors and financial-institution core systems. You will consume and expose REST and SOAP services, transform JSON and XML payloads, and enforce modern authentication and authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT) to guarantee data integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Drive the complete software development lifecycle within an agile squad: story refinement, iterative development, automated testing, continuous integration, and cloud-native deployment on AWS. You will participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives while maintaining a relentless focus on delivering customer value.
• Champion quality by writing unit, integration, and UI automation tests using open-source frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress. You will embed observability best practices—metrics, logs, and traces—so production issues are detected and resolved before users feel them.
• Optimize performance and scalability by profiling applications, tuning queries, and implementing caching strategies. You will monitor SLIs/SLOs, respond to on-call alerts, and lead blameless post-mortems that turn incidents into durable improvements.
• Create reusable libraries, tooling, and documentation that accelerate future development across multiple teams. Your code will become the foundation upon which other engineers build the next generation of digital banking experiences.
• Collaborate daily with product managers, UX designers, QA analysts, and DevOps engineers in a remote-first environment. You will present technical proposals, solicit feedback, and negotiate trade-offs with clarity and empathy, ensuring every voice is heard.
• Influence technical direction by evaluating new cloud, mobile, and fintech technologies (e.g., Flutter for cross-platform apps, OpenTelemetry for observability) and running proof-of-concepts that keep Alkami at the forefront of innovation.

🎯 Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional software development experience in an object-oriented language such as Java or C#
• Proven full-stack development skills including REST/SOAP integration, JSON/XML data handling, and secure authentication protocols
• Hands-on experience with relational or NoSQL databases and ORM frameworks; familiarity with AWS cloud-native deployment
• Demonstrated ability to write automated tests (unit, integration, UI) and support production systems in an agile environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
