We achieve this by integrating the expertise of seasoned operators with purpose-built Artificial Intelligence to streamline and manage every aspect of a case, including intake, claim initiation, medical record retrieval, police report acquisition, lien management, demand letter preparation, and all subsequent steps.

• This role is designed for engineers who are passionate about tackling high-impact problems with a strong sense of urgency, unwavering ownership, and genuine care. The legal field is notoriously burdened by repetitive tasks, cumbersome paper-based workflows, and fragmented data. Your primary responsibility will be to leverage well-designed systems, advanced AI, and thoughtful software engineering practices to convert this inherent chaos into clarity and efficiency. You will be empowered to build rapidly, deploy features frequently, and collaborate closely with our product, operations, and design teams. Expect to take full ownership of critical features from conception through architecture, development, release, and ongoing iteration, moving with speed without compromising on the quality and robustness of our solutions.
• Key responsibilities will include owning major features from end-to-end. This involves designing, building, and deploying production-grade systems that form the core of our workflows. You will collaborate extensively cross-functionally, partnering with product managers, operations specialists, designers, and legal experts to meticulously define requirements and deliver tangible, real-world impact. A core tenet of our engineering philosophy is to move fast while maintaining safety; you will be expected to build in robust safety measures, comprehensive observability, and high performance from the initial stages of development.
• Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in helping to set the standard for our engineering culture, influencing our technology stack, and shaping our development practices from the ground up. This is an opportunity to leave a significant mark on how we build and operate. While this role is based in our NYC office, requiring in-person collaboration four days a week, it is designed for high-context, fast-moving teamwork essential for rapid iteration and problem-solving.
• We are looking for individuals who possess at least three years of experience in building reliable, secure, and scalable software systems in production environments. A strong comfort level working across the full stack is essential, as our technology stack includes Python with Django for the backend, React for the frontend, and leverages cloud infrastructure like AWS and AI technologies such as OpenAI. You should be adept at writing clean, maintainable code and demonstrate a deep commitment to testing, observability, and performance optimization. Thriving in ambiguous environments and taking pride in your ability to figure things out independently is crucial. Most importantly, you should be motivated by the prospect of working on real-world problems that have a direct and positive impact on people's lives, and you should care as much about the product outcomes as you do about the technical decisions made.
