• As a Software Engineer at Skio, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our subscription platform. This role offers unparalleled autonomy and responsibility, with no micro-management. You will have the freedom to drive projects from conception to completion, owning their success and impact.
• Your primary responsibility will be to build entire product features end-to-end. This involves taking ownership of features from the initial concept through development, deployment, and ongoing iteration, ensuring their ultimate success and alignment with our business objectives. You will be expected to navigate product ambiguity, transforming uncertainty into clarity by meticulously focusing on user details and delivering exceptional experiences that delight both merchants and their end customers.
• The technical landscape at Skio is modern and dynamic. You will work extensively with TypeScript and React, developing scalable systems that not only maintain our current speed and performance but also ensure long-term resilience and maintainability as we continue to grow. This includes designing and implementing robust backend services, efficient APIs, and intuitive frontend interfaces.
• We embrace cutting-edge technology to enhance productivity and quality. You will leverage AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and others to supercharge your development output, improve code quality through intelligent suggestions and automated checks, and automate repetitive or mundane aspects of software development. This allows you to focus on more complex and impactful problem-solving.
• A significant part of this role involves contributing to and elevating our engineering culture. This means actively participating in raising the bar for technical excellence across the team. You will champion best practices in coding standards, testing methodologies, and system design. Furthermore, you will foster a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge, mentoring junior engineers, and promoting effective teamwork. Your commitment to speed of execution will be crucial in maintaining our agile development cycles and delivering value rapidly.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end feature development.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React, with a solid understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks and best practices.
• Experience building scalable and resilient web applications and backend systems.
• Familiarity with AI tools for software development (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) is a plus.
