• • This role is integral to the Confluent Cloud Platform, which is built upon Apache Kafka and stands as the leading Cloud Native Platform as a Service for streaming data infrastructure. Your contributions will be pivotal in expanding this platform, enabling customers globally to develop and deploy cutting-edge streaming applications.
• • As a Software Engineer on our team, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust Golang infrastructure services. These services are typically architected as Kubernetes operators, forming the foundational elements of the Confluent cloud infrastructure that supports our wider engineering organization.
• • A strong command of essential technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog, Prometheus, and a deep understanding of Linux, public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and networking principles will be crucial. While Golang software engineering will be your primary focus, proficiency in these supporting technologies will ensure your success.
• • You will collaborate closely with a talented team of Confluent engineers, working collectively to build and enhance our PaaS product. This collaborative environment fosters innovation and shared ownership.
• • Your responsibilities will extend to the end-to-end lifecycle of our cloud infrastructure. This includes ensuring the provisioning, availability, performance, comprehensive monitoring, rapid emergency response, and strategic capacity planning of the Confluent cloud. You will be a guardian of our platform's reliability and efficiency.
• • If you are passionate about the intricate workings of large-scale big data systems, managing tens of thousands of instances across thousands of Kubernetes clusters spanning multiple cloud providers, and are driven to optimize their performance, security, and stability, this role is an exceptional fit.
