📋 Description

• As a founding member of Kustomer’s AI Automations team, you will redefine how engineers build software in the age of AI by creating foundational tools that act as a force multiplier across the entire engineering organization, directly accelerating product innovation and development velocity.
• You will design, build, and deploy AI agents and automation that enhance every phase of the software development lifecycle — from code generation and review to testing, deployment, and monitoring — making AI an integral part of how software is built at Kustomer.
• You will stay at the forefront of AI and automation tooling, rapidly evaluating and integrating emerging solutions to continuously improve quality, efficiency, reliability, and development speed across teams.
• You will partner closely with engineers across the organization to identify pain points, co-design solutions, and drive rapid iteration, championing best practices that ensure widespread adoption of AI-powered developer tools.
• You will modernize how engineers create systems, workflows, and tooling by establishing scalable, trustworthy AI-driven practices that enable every engineer to move faster and ship higher-quality software.
• You will help shape the technical direction and culture of engineering at Kustomer by setting standards for what excellence looks like in AI-augmented development, influencing long-term platform strategy.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in developer experience, developer tooling, or platform engineering roles
• Experience evaluating, implementing, and advocating for AI developer tools to solve complex engineering problems
• 5+ years of full-stack programming background with ability to design end-to-end systems using high-level languages like Go, Python, or JavaScript
• Ability to see the big picture across engineering and product to identify systemic inefficiencies
• Experience with containers and deployment using ECS and Terraform is a big plus
• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
