📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer, AI (JavaScript) at G2i Inc., you will play a critical role in shaping the future of AI-assisted software development by directly training large language models (LLMs) to write, evaluate, and improve production-grade JavaScript code. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between AI-generated code and real-world software engineering standards, ensuring models learn to produce code that is correct, efficient, secure, and maintainable—directly impacting the reliability and usability of AI coding tools used by developers worldwide.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: comparing and ranking multiple AI-generated JavaScript code snippets based on correctness, performance, style, and best practices, providing detailed written explanations for your rankings; identifying and repairing bugs, logic flaws, performance anti-patterns, and security vulnerabilities in AI-generated code through precise refactoring; injecting structured feedback—such as ratings, edits, and test results—into the reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) pipeline to continuously improve model behavior; collaborating asynchronously with a global team of engineers to maintain consistency in evaluation criteria; and staying current with evolving JavaScript language features, ECMAScript standards, and modern framework practices to ensure training data reflects real-world development.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on JavaScript, including proficiency in modern ES6+ features, asynchronous programming, and ecosystem tools (e.g., Node.js, npm/yarn, testing frameworks).
• Exceptional code-review abilities: proven skill in quickly identifying logic errors, performance bottlenecks, security flaws, and maintainability issues in code, with the capacity to explain trade-offs clearly and constructively.
• Outstanding written communication skills: ability to produce precise, well-reasoned explanations comparing code alternatives, justifying preferences based on engineering principles, readability, and long-term maintainability.
• Comfort thriving in a fully asynchronous, low-oversight remote work environment: self-directed, disciplined, and proactive in managing time and deliverables without constant supervision.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting official language specifications (e.g., ECMAScript standards) and technical documentation to inform code evaluations.
