- • As an AI Product Engineer on Notion's Custom Agents team, you will help define and build cutting-edge AI-powered features that automate recurring workflows like filing tasks, writing reports, and answering questions in a knowledge base, making Notion's AI capabilities more intelligent, capable, and reliable at scale.
- • Day to day, you will prototype and experiment with new AI features, productionize and scale asynchronous workflows across Notion’s systems, collaborate across AI, Infrastructure, and Product teams to deliver high-quality user experiences, and stay current with the latest AI technologies and trends.
- • Notion is a company that builds an all-in-one workspace connecting docs, notes, projects, calendar, and email with AI built in, used by millions including teams at Toyota, Figma, and OpenAI, and values in-person collaboration with required office presence on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (Anchor Days).
- • In this role, you will learn to integrate LLMs, embeddings, and other ML technologies into production systems, deepen your expertise in full-stack AI product development, and grow your impact by shaping how teams automate work through intelligent, user-centered AI features.
🎯 Requirements
- • Expertise building and prototyping AI products using LLMs, embeddings, and other ML technologies, with understanding of system architecture from UI to data model and experience with relational databases like Postgres or MySQL.
- • Strong problem-solving skills: ability to understand context holistically, think critically about implications, navigate ambiguity, decompose complex problems into clean solutions, and balance business impact with technical execution.
- • Empathetic communication and collaboration: skilled at explaining technical ideas clearly, engaging thoughtfully with diverse perspectives, and working effectively with both engineers and cross-functional partners.
- • Impact-orientation and user focus: prioritizes projects based on business impact, balances craft, speed, and bottom line, and recognizes responsibility for the real-world consequences of technology.
