- • Join DevRev Inc. as a Software Engineer specializing in Applied AI, a pivotal role focused on empowering customers with cutting-edge AI-driven solutions. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of work by developing and deploying sophisticated applications on our core platform, leveraging technologies like TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python. This position offers a unique blend of customer interaction and deep technical implementation, allowing you to directly influence how businesses integrate AI into their workflows.
- • As a Forward Deployed Engineer, a significant portion of your role (30%) will involve direct engagement with customers. You will collaborate closely with our pre- and post-sales Customer Experience team to understand their unique challenges and translate them into effective technical solutions. This customer-facing aspect is crucial for ensuring that the AI applications we build not only meet but exceed customer expectations, driving tangible business value.
- • The majority of your time (70-80%) will be dedicated to hands-on technical implementation. This includes designing, developing, and launching AI agents, complex integrations, and automated workflows. You will be responsible for connecting DevRev's platform with customers' existing technology stacks, ensuring seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
- • A core responsibility will be building and enhancing the Knowledge Graph. This involves integrating DevRev with a wide array of SaaS and non-SaaS systems. You will achieve this through the implementation of webhooks, APIs, and real-time communication architectures, creating a unified and intelligent data ecosystem for our clients.
- • You will play a key role in optimizing AI performance. This involves applying advanced prompt engineering techniques, fine-tuning semantic search engines, and leveraging generative AI to improve the accuracy, relevance, and overall user experience of our AI agents. Your expertise will directly impact the effectiveness of our AI solutions.
- • Owning data insights is another critical facet of this role. You will be expected to write SQL queries, conduct thorough data analysis, and build insightful dashboards. These insights will empower customers to make better, data-driven decisions, highlighting the practical impact of our platform.
- • The role demands a proactive and iterative approach. You will be responsible for developing rapid proofs-of-concept (POCs) to demonstrate the potential of our solutions. Conducting live technical demos and iterating on these prototypes based on customer and stakeholder feedback will be essential for refining our offerings.
- • Leading cross-functional collaboration is paramount. You will maintain constant communication loops with customers, engineering teams, product managers, customer success, support, and revenue teams. This ensures alignment across all departments and a cohesive approach to solution delivery.
- • You will act as a technical guide for customer adoption. This involves learning and mastering new tools and technologies, and then effectively guiding customers through critical workflows. Examples include setting up code repository integrations and configuring advanced features of the DevRev platform.
- • A willingness to travel up to 30% is required for on-site implementations, technical workshops, and crucial customer engagements. This travel is essential for building strong customer relationships and ensuring successful project delivery.
