• Join Engflow as a Software Engineer, specializing in the critical domains of build systems, compilers, and programming languages. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside the very engineers who architected Bazel, a leading open-source build system, and to make significant contributions to other foundational open-source projects such as gRPC, Goma, Soong, and CMake. • In this role, you will be at the forefront of tackling some of the most complex challenges in the software engineering landscape. This includes optimizing real-time performance, ensuring massive scalability, and refining the intricacies of build systems. • Key responsibilities will revolve around the core development of our platform. You will delve deep into build systems and compilers, focusing on enhancing their scalability and real-time performance characteristics. A significant aspect of your role will involve contributing to and improving established open-source projects, fostering a collaborative spirit within the wider developer community. You will be instrumental in solving intricate problems and architecting scalable systems that significantly accelerate developer productivity for a global clientele of tech companies. This includes collaborating closely with our team of core Bazel engineers, sharing knowledge, and collectively pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep knowledge of at least one major build system (e.g., Bazel, CMake, Maven, Gradle, Nix, Buck).
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux, the Unix shell, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Proven experience with asynchronous programming paradigms.
• Passion for analyzing complex challenges and optimizing build systems and compilers.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
