Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Join the Connectors team at Tealium and become the architect of real-time data pipelines that power personalized customer experiences for more than 800 global brands. You will own the design, development, and optimization of high-throughput integrations that ingest and deliver billions of events daily across 1,300+ marketing, analytics, and data-warehouse endpoints.
  • • Work at the intersection of distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and customer data strategy. You will extend Tealium’s Universal Data Hub by building new connectors, enhancing existing ones, and ensuring sub-second latency and 99.99 % uptime for mission-critical customer journeys.
  • • Collaborate in a truly cross-functional, remote-first Agile squad that includes product managers, architects, DevOps, and customer success engineers. Your daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives are designed to ship incremental value every two weeks while continuously raising the bar on code quality, observability, and operational excellence.
  • • Write clean, idiomatic Java (Spring/Quarkus) services that scale horizontally on AWS, GCP, and Azure. You will leverage containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) to provision, deploy, and monitor microservices that auto-scale from hundreds to millions of requests per minute.
  • • Design resilient data models in both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, Redis, Cassandra) stores. You will tune queries, implement caching layers, and craft partitioning strategies that keep P99 latencies low even as data volume grows exponentially.
  • • Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka, Kinesis, and RabbitMQ to guarantee exactly-once delivery, back-pressure handling, and replay capabilities. You will build stream-processing jobs that enrich, filter, and route events in real time while respecting strict privacy and consent rules.
  • • Champion observability by embedding metrics, traces, and structured logs into every service. You will create SLIs/SLOs, configure Prometheus/Grafana dashboards, and participate in an on-call rotation that treats every alert as an opportunity to improve system resilience.
  • • Drive continuous performance optimization through load testing, chaos engineering, and cost-aware architecture decisions. You will profile JVM performance, tune garbage collection, and experiment with GraalVM native images or serverless functions to reduce latency and cloud spend.
  • • Contribute to the connector SDK and shared libraries that accelerate development across all engineering teams. You will write comprehensive unit, integration, and contract tests, enforce coding standards via automated reviews, and mentor junior engineers through pair programming and design sessions.
  • • Stay ahead of the technology curve by researching emerging protocols (gRPC, GraphQL, WebAssembly) and evaluating their fit within Tealium’s roadmap. You will present findings in internal tech talks and influence the strategic direction of our integration ecosystem.
  • • Engage directly with customers and partner vendors to understand nuanced use cases, translate requirements into technical specifications, and deliver connectors that “just work” out of the box. Your code will enable marketers to launch campaigns in minutes instead of months.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 2+ years of professional Java development using modern frameworks such as Spring or Quarkus
  • • Proven experience designing and operating high-traffic, highly available distributed systems
  • • Hands-on expertise with both SQL and NoSQL data stores (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Snowflake, etc.)
  • • Production-level exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • • Familiarity with event streaming or messaging systems like Kafka, Kinesis, or RabbitMQ
  • • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Remote-first flexibility with a new-hire stipend to build your ideal home office anywhere in Poland
  • • Competitive equity grants from day one, letting you share directly in Tealium’s continued growth
  • • 15 hours of paid volunteer time annually through Tealium Cares, plus robust wellness programs under Healium
  • • Generous paid time-off policy, extended parental leave, and company-wide recharge days
  • • Access to Tealium LIFT learning platform with 6,000+ on-demand courses and best-in-class leadership development
