• • Your primary responsibility will be to build new, critical services using Golang, contributing to the transformation of our platform to meet evolving business needs.
• • You will actively support team members by sharing expertise in design techniques, coding best practices, robust testing methodologies, efficient release and deployment processes, comprehensive documentation, effective metrics and logging, and scalable system architecture.
• • Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team, including fellow engineers, security specialists, designers, product managers, and senior leadership, to translate product and technical visions into a concrete, actionable roadmap each quarter.
• • Develop a deep understanding of Coinbase's platform, development practices, and various technical domains, leveraging this knowledge to drive improvements that benefit multiple teams across the organization.
• • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the company, ensuring alignment and understanding.

• • Participate actively in on-call production support rotations, ensuring the stability and reliability of critical systems.

• • Design, build, scale, and maintain production-ready services, applying principles of service-oriented architecture to create robust and maintainable systems.
• • Write high-quality, well-tested code that directly addresses customer needs and business requirements, adhering to the highest standards of software development.
• • Gain hands-on experience with large-scale, high-traffic platforms, implementing scalable and resilient services that can handle significant user loads and data volumes.
• • Take ownership of technical architecture design and implementation, contributing to the strategic direction of the platform and ensuring its long-term success.
• • Implement and optimize key system components such as rate limiters, caching mechanisms, comprehensive metrics collection, effective logging strategies, and efficient debugging tools.
• • Leverage experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, MQ) and proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases to build flexible and powerful data solutions.
