• • As a Software Engineer specializing in dataplane technologies at SonicWall, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing high-performance packet-processing components that form the core of next-generation network firewalls, directly contributing to the company’s mission of delivering relentless security against evolving cyber threats.
• • Your work will impact the performance, scalability, and reliability of SonicWall’s NGFW platforms, enabling secure connectivity for enterprises, government agencies, and SMBs across cloud, hybrid, and traditional environments worldwide.
• • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of dataplane modules using DPDK/ODP/OFP frameworks to maximize throughput and minimize latency in packet processing pipelines for SonicWall’s next-generation firewalls.
• • Diagnose and resolve complex performance bottlenecks, throughput limitations, and latency issues in high-speed networking environments through deep system analysis, profiling, and targeted optimizations.
• • Collaborate closely with platform, networking, security, and QA teams to integrate dataplane innovations, validate functionality, and ensure seamless delivery of features across product releases.
• • Prototype and evaluate emerging dataplane technologies and architectures to inform future product roadmaps and enhance SonicWall’s competitive edge in network security performance.
• • Influence architectural decisions regarding scalability, concurrency models, and hardware acceleration strategies for dataplane components, shaping long-term technical direction.
• • Contribute to multi-threaded, lock-free, and cache-efficient C/C++ codebases that operate under strict real-time constraints in embedded and network appliance environments.
• • Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to elevate team expertise in high-performance systems development.
• • Stay current with advancements in CPU architectures, NIC offload capabilities, and kernel bypass techniques to continuously improve dataplane efficiency.
