Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Design and implement patient intake workflows including medical form completion, appointment scheduling, and automated reminder systems to streamline the patient journey from referral to report delivery.
- • Architect and build a scalable monitoring system to track patients throughout their lifecycle, enabling operations leadership to proactively identify bottlenecks and ensure service quality at scale.
- • Develop intuitive, high-efficiency dashboards for scheduling teams, legal operations, and patient services to visualize workflow status, task assignments, and operational metrics in real time.
- • Own the automation layer for internal operations by building systems for automatic referral ingestion, intelligent task routing, AI-driven voice reminder calls, and alerting mechanisms that surface operational issues before they impact patient care.
- • Integrate with legacy healthcare systems such as outdated RIS platforms and disparate health system interfaces, bridging modern software architecture with decades-old infrastructure to ensure seamless data flow.
- • Instrument all built systems with robust observability, proactively identifying failure modes and treating on-call escalations as indicators of systemic gaps requiring architectural fixes.
- • Reduce end-to-end turnaround times for patient scheduling and report delivery through optimized workflows, automated validations, and improved system reliability.
- • Enable operational team members to serve patients with minimal training by simplifying and standardizing workflows, reducing cognitive load, and creating self-explanatory user experiences.
- • Ship AI-enabled improvements that reduce the time each operations team member spends per patient, directly increasing throughput and scalability of the fulfillment engine.
- • Collaborate closely with internal operations teams to deeply understand their daily workflows, pain points, and success metrics, ensuring software solutions are grounded in real operational needs.
- • Maintain architectural rigor in backend services, prioritizing reliability, scalability, and maintainability over specific language preferences, with primary focus on modern Ruby (Rails) stacks.
- • Manage RESTful API integrations with strong attention to schema versioning, backward compatibility, and contract governance when connecting to third-party health systems and imaging centers.
- • Contribute to a culture of operational excellence by treating system health as a shared responsibility, participating in incident response, and driving preventive improvements.
- • Work within a high-growth scale-up environment with over 100% YoY growth, where your work directly impacts hundreds of patient diagnoses every day.
- • Participate in cross-functional product assessments to evolve features alongside operations, product, and engineering teams, ensuring technical solutions align with user needs and business goals.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven ability to integrate with legacy systems not designed for modern interoperability (e.g., aging RIS platforms, core banking systems, or equivalent infrastructure in other industries)
- • Experience shipping complex internal operations dashboards with a focus on usability and efficiency for non-technical users
- • Proficiency in backend development using modern web stacks, particularly Ruby (e.g., Rails), with emphasis on building reliable, scalable services
- • Strong operational instincts: instrumenting systems, anticipating failure modes, and treating on-call escalations as systemic signals
- • Familiarity with RESTful API integration patterns, including schema versioning, backward compatibility, and API contract management
🏖️ Benefits
- • Salary range of $170,000 - $220,000
- • 401k
- • Healthcare, Vision, and Dental
- • All equipment needed to do your role effectively
- • Flexible and remote/hybrid working options
- • Personal development budgets
- • 18 days PTO plus public holidays
- • 10 paid sick days
