• As a company with a $10 billion market capitalization, Smartsheet has experienced substantial growth, particularly in EMEA, expanding from a small team to over 70 engineers across 9 teams. Now, we are establishing a significant presence in India and are seeking talented Software Engineers with diverse specialisms, including front-end, back-end, test automation, operations, and infrastructure. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple disciplines, develop a broad skillset, and contribute to various teams and products within our expanding organization.
• In this role, you will be instrumental in the entire software development lifecycle, from the initial conceptualization of features to their final release. You will actively contribute to architectural discussions, helping to shape the future of our platform and services. Your responsibilities will include implementing new, innovative features and enhancing existing functionalities to ensure Smartsheet remains at the forefront of collaborative work management technology.
• You will also play a crucial role in maintaining our existing service APIs and developing new ones, ensuring robust and efficient communication between our various systems. A significant part of your contribution will involve participating in all phases of quality assurance, meticulously testing our software and diligently resolving any defects to uphold the highest standards of quality and reliability.
• Collaboration is key. You will interact closely with systems engineers to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure problems, ensuring the stability and performance of our services. Furthermore, in line with our commitment to innovation, you will actively leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to boost personal and team efficiency across all aspects of development, including coding, testing, design, and troubleshooting. You will be encouraged to explore opportunities for AI integration within our team processes and product features, and to mentor colleagues on the effective utilization of AI technologies.

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Golang, Java, C, C-style languages, or Node.js.
• Experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js, along with CSS pre-processors (specifically for front-end engineering roles).
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented design principles and patterns.
• Familiarity with Microservice Architecture and its associated concepts.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical industry experience.
