• • In this role, you will be at the forefront of platform bring-up, configuration, and diagnostics, working extensively with both x86 and ARM-based systems. You will gain invaluable hands-on experience operating at the critical boundary between software and hardware, delving into the complexities of boot processes, device initialization, operating system configuration, and intricate platform-level troubleshooting. This is a unique chance to build a strong foundation in systems engineering, contributing directly to the stability and performance of PAR's cutting-edge restaurant technology.
• • Your primary responsibilities will include supporting platform-level software, with a specific focus on BIOS configuration, BSP integration, and the crucial OS bring-up phases. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining essential system-level utilities and tools, primarily utilizing C/C++. This hands-on coding experience will allow you to hone your programming skills while contributing to core system functionalities. Furthermore, you will develop and maintain robust PowerShell and Bash scripts, which are vital for system configuration, efficient deployment processes, and comprehensive diagnostics. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and ease of use of our platforms.
• • You will also play a key role in supporting Windows and Linux image creation, configuration, and validation. This involves ensuring that our operating system environments are optimized, secure, and ready for deployment.
