📋 Description
- • As a Software Engineer on Zip's Identity team, you will play a critical role in securing enterprise procurement by developing core identity and access management systems that protect sensitive customer data and enable secure AI-powered workflows. Your work directly supports Fortune 500 clients like OpenAI, T-Mobile, and Snowflake in safeguarding their most valuable assets while innovating at the intersection of security and AI.
- • You will design and build customer-facing identity products including authentication/authorization systems, AI-powered anomaly detection for fraud prevention, granular access controls, and bring-your-own-key encryption solutions, ensuring robust security without compromising user experience.
- • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer security teams (e.g., Discover, Snowflake, Anthropic) to translate complex security requirements into scalable, secure features that meet enterprise compliance standards.
- • Develop internal tooling, guardrails, and automation frameworks that empower fellow engineers to ship secure code confidently, reducing vulnerabilities and increasing velocity across the organization.
- • Architect and implement scalable frontend applications using React and Typescript, contributing to intuitive user interfaces for identity management that serve both end-users and admin stakeholders.
- • Participate in full lifecycle development — from scoping and design to testing, deployment, and monitoring — in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where ownership and technical excellence are valued.
- • Engage with modern cloud-native architectures and GraphQL APIs, gaining deep expertise in enterprise SaaS security patterns while contributing to systems that process hundreds of billions in annual spend.
- • Mentor and learn from a team of experienced engineers from Apple, Airbnb, Meta, and former procurement leaders from United Health, Sanofi, and NASA, fostering growth in both technical and domain expertise.
- • Contribute to a mission-driven culture focused on increasing innovation velocity for businesses worldwide by removing friction in secure procurement through intelligent automation and zero-trust principles.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 1+ years of professional software engineering experience with proven ability to design, develop, and ship production-quality web applications.
- • Hands-on experience with web application and API development using modern stacks, including proficiency in Python, Typescript, React, and GraphQL.
- • Strong foundation in software security best practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding principles, with interest or experience in enterprise SaaS or fintech environments.
