  • • Join Radicle Health, a dynamic SaaS company dedicated to empowering human services organizations through innovative software solutions. As a Software Engineer II specializing in Integrations, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust code that drives rich user experiences across desktop and mobile platforms.
  • • This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a growing team of motivated, cross-functional Scrum members. You will leverage your expertise in PHP, HTML5, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS, working within both our established PHP codebase and contributing to the gradual transition towards a full-stack JavaScript web application.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to architect and implement code that delivers seamless and engaging user interfaces. This involves a deep understanding of front-end technologies and their application in creating responsive and intuitive software.
  • • You will be instrumental in integrating our systems with external services by implementing and consuming both REST and SOAP APIs. This requires a meticulous approach to ensure data flow is efficient, secure, and reliable.
  • • A core aspect of this role is producing code that is not only functional but also robust, secure, modular, and maintainable. You will adhere to best practices in software development to ensure the long-term health and scalability of our products.
  • • You will actively participate in refactoring and optimizing our existing legacy PHP codebase. This involves identifying areas for improvement, applying proven PHP techniques, and ensuring that older code aligns with current standards and performance expectations.
  • • Proactively identify and propose necessary upgrades and updates to our technology stack and development practices. This includes staying abreast of modern security vulnerabilities and development best practices to ensure our software remains cutting-edge and secure.
  • • Implement and maintain automated testing strategies integrated into our development and maintenance workflows. This is crucial for ensuring code quality, reducing regressions, and enabling faster, more confident releases.
  • • Collaborate closely with your Scrum team members through various communication channels such as Slack, Google Meet, and Zoom. Active participation in team discussions, code reviews, and agile ceremonies is essential for collective success.
  • • Contribute to the overall architectural vision of our applications, particularly in the context of integrating disparate systems and ensuring data consistency and integrity.
  • • You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • • Embrace a culture of continuous learning and improvement, sharing knowledge with team members and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • • Help shape the future of human services software by building tools that directly impact the ability of organizations to serve their communities more effectively.
  • • This role offers the chance to work on meaningful projects that have a tangible positive impact on society, aligning your technical skills with a strong social mission.
  • • You will be part of a supportive and collaborative remote work environment, where your contributions are valued and recognized.
  • • The opportunity to work on a modern tech stack while also managing and evolving a significant legacy system provides a unique and challenging development path.
  • • You will be empowered to make technical decisions and influence the direction of our software products.
  • • Engage in problem-solving complex technical challenges related to system integration, data management, and user experience enhancement.
  • • Ensure that all developed solutions comply with relevant industry standards and security protocols, especially within the sensitive domain of human services.
  • • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and receiving it in turn, fostering a culture of shared ownership and quality.
  • • Contribute to the documentation of code, APIs, and system architecture to ensure knowledge transfer and maintainability.
  • • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to our users and clients.
  • • You will be a key player in the evolution of Radicle Health's product suite, contributing to its growth and success in the human services sector.
  • • This role requires a proactive and self-motivated individual who can thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • • You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of technologies and contribute to projects that are at the forefront of technological innovation in the human services space.
  • • The integration aspect of this role means you will be deeply involved in how our various software products communicate and function together, ensuring a cohesive and powerful offering for our clients.
  • • You will be a champion for code quality, performance, and security, embedding these principles into every aspect of your work.
  • • This position offers a unique blend of working with established technologies and adopting new ones, providing a comprehensive learning and development experience.
  • • You will be part of a company that values collaboration, innovation, and making a real difference in the world.
