- • Humata Health Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer II, specializing in automation, to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining sophisticated microservice-based automation solutions designed to streamline critical healthcare workflows, specifically focusing on prior authorization processes with insurance payers. As a key member of our engineering department, you will leverage your deep expertise in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and robust backend development skills in TypeScript and Node.js to build reliable, scalable, and efficient automation systems.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain RPA bots that automate various stages of the prior authorization lifecycle. This includes automating the statusing of requests, processing determinations, and submitting necessary documentation across a multitude of insurance payer portals. You will be instrumental in ensuring these automation workflows interact seamlessly and reliably with complex payer systems, operating effectively even at a large scale.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves integrating these RPA microservices into our broader company platform. You will achieve this by designing and implementing interconnected APIs and adhering to a service-based architecture, ensuring that our automation capabilities are well-integrated and contribute to the overall efficiency of our platform.
- • We are looking for an engineer who is not only adept at maintaining existing systems but also passionate about contributing to the innovation of new automation capabilities. This includes exploring and implementing advanced features such as self-healing automation logic, potentially powered by internal Large Language Models (LLMs), and developing smarter, more dynamic microservice automation generation techniques. Your contributions will directly enhance the robustness and intelligence of our automation solutions.
- • Ensuring the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of our RPA services within a distributed microservice architecture is paramount. You will be responsible for architecting solutions that can withstand high volumes of activity and adapt to evolving requirements, while also being easy to manage and update.
- • Collaboration is key to our success. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams to ensure the timely delivery of customer go-live milestones. Your ability to communicate effectively and contribute to a shared vision will be crucial in meeting project deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.
- • Your work will have a direct and measurable impact on the company’s growth. By enabling successful and timely customer deployments through stable and efficient automation, you will directly contribute to achieving our Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). This role offers a unique opportunity to see the tangible results of your engineering efforts.
- • We expect candidates to quickly ramp up and make an immediate engineering impact. This involves proactively identifying areas for improvement, enhancing automation coverage, and increasing the overall stability of our production systems. Your ability to hit the ground running and deliver value from day one is highly valued.
- • You will apply your strong expertise in RPA and TypeScript to build and maintain production-grade automation systems. This includes writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, performing thorough testing, and participating in code reviews to ensure the highest quality standards are met. Your technical acumen will be the driving force behind our automation success.
