- • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure components that underpin Opal Security’s AI-native identity governance platform
- • Own critical systems across the infrastructure stack, ensuring reliability, observability, and resilience under enterprise-scale workloads
- • Collaborate directly with product engineers to provide robust tooling, automation, and platform services that accelerate development while enforcing security and compliance standards
- • Work alongside leadership and engineering teams to shape product roadmap priorities, architectural decisions, and engineering best practices
- • Improve and standardize deployment, monitoring, and incident response processes across the organization to reduce toil and increase system reliability
- • Engage directly with enterprise customers—including teams at Fortune 500s and fast-growing startups—to gather feedback on platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and refine solutions based on real-world usage
- • Architect and implement cloud-native infrastructure using Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud providers (AWS/GCP) to support dynamic, multi-tenant SaaS environments
- • Optimize infrastructure for cost-efficiency without compromising performance, scalability, or security
- • Build and maintain internal tooling and APIs using Golang, GraphQL, and TypeScript to empower product teams with self-service infrastructure capabilities
- • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 operational stability of production systems and respond to critical incidents with urgency and precision
- • Champion infrastructure as code principles, version-controlled deployments, and automated testing across all infrastructure systems
- • Proactively identify systemic risks in current infrastructure and propose innovative, scalable solutions that anticipate future growth and evolving security demands
- • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentorship efforts to elevate the technical maturity of the broader engineering team
- • Balance rapid iteration with rigorous security practices, ensuring that speed of innovation never compromises enterprise-grade access control
- • Interpret and translate customer infrastructure pain points into technical requirements for platform enhancements and feature development
- • Maintain a strong focus on observability by implementing metrics, logging, and alerting systems that provide deep visibility into system health and user behavior
- • Drive adoption of modern infrastructure patterns such as service mesh, zero-trust networking, and ephemeral environments across the organization
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience as a full-time software engineer or equivalent experience building large distributed systems
- • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Golang, Postgres, Redis, Terraform, GraphQL, TypeScript, and React
- • Proven experience scaling cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP
