📋 Description
- • Contribute to Bastion, Cloudflare’s next-generation Rust-based HTTP proxy handling tens of millions of requests per second at the edge.
- • Build and operate systems that terminate HTTP and TLS at Internet scale across Cloudflare’s global network of over 330 cities.
- • Migrate core infrastructure from NGINX to a modern Rust-based proxy architecture.
- • Measure and improve performance of HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 protocols using real-world traffic data.
- • Develop observability infrastructure including distributed tracing for high-scale production systems.
- • Create migration tooling to transition legacy systems to new protocol implementations.
- • Contribute to open source projects and collaborate with industry standards bodies such as the IETF on protocols like QUIC, MASQUE, and ECH.
- • Work alongside leading engineers in networking and systems infrastructure to solve technically demanding problems.
- • Engage in performance analysis, protocol implementation, and systems optimization within a high-traffic, low-latency environment.
- • Learn and apply systems programming principles using Rust, C, and other high-performance languages in a production environment.
- • Participate in a 3-6 month internship program based in Bengaluru with full-time in-office work requirements.
- • Gain exposure to cutting-edge internet protocols and infrastructure that serves a quarter of the Internet’s traffic.
- • Support initiatives that enhance Internet security, reliability, and speed for millions of websites and applications globally.
