Software Engineer, iOS/Mobile - Electronic Flight Bag (EFB)

• • As an iOS Software Engineer on the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) team at Beacon AI, you will build mission-critical mobile applications that enhance flight safety and operational efficiency for pilots and aviation operators. Your work directly supports real-time decision-making in the cockpit by delivering precise, reliable, and intuitive iOS experiences that function flawlessly even in offline or degraded connectivity environments.
• • You will design and implement iOS features using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit; build high-performance applications that process large aviation datasets (e.g., wind and weather); develop EFB-specific functionality including map navigation, location services, and instrument displays; integrate with external hardware and edge devices for real-time data ingestion; architect offline-first systems with graceful degradation; implement background processing via Swift Concurrency; apply data security best practices using Keychain and encryption; collaborate with senior engineers and designers; participate in code reviews; and ensure code quality through testing and documentation.
