📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer IV at PDI Technologies Inc., you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade software solutions that power convenience retail and petroleum brands worldwide, directly contributing to the company’s mission of "Connecting Convenience" through innovative technology like GasBuddy and loyalty platforms.
• You will collaborate within an agile, cross-functional team to build scalable, high-performance applications that enhance operational efficiency, enable data-driven decisions, and improve customer engagement for global clients in the convenience and energy sectors.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing system enhancements to improve software quality, performance, and maintainability; writing clean, testable, and efficient code in multiple programming languages; participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives; troubleshooting production issues; and ensuring seamless integration across Windows and Linux environments.
• You will actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by advocating for agile best practices, sharing knowledge with peers, and helping elevate engineering standards across the team through mentorship and technical leadership.
• You will work closely with architects, product owners, SREs, and IT operations to ensure alignment on technical direction, system reliability, and deployment readiness, acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the software lifecycle.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, or C++.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable, enterprise-level applications in both Windows and Linux environments.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), CI/CD pipelines, and software testing best practices (unit, integration, automated).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a strong plus.
