📋 Description

• Join Voldex as a Software Engineer on NFL Universe Football—the #1 American football game and top-grossing sports title on Roblox, enjoyed by millions of players every day. You will own the technical vision for new features, from whiteboard to release, ensuring each update keeps the community cheering and the revenue growing.
• Architect and write clean, performant, and maintainable Roblox Lua code that scales to 145 million monthly active players across our portfolio. Your code will be battle-tested under extreme concurrency, so mastery of memory management, efficient event handling, and client-server optimization is critical.
• Partner daily with designers, artists, and producers to translate creative briefs into shippable gameplay experiences. You will participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and playtests, providing both technical feasibility checks and creative feedback that elevates the final product.
• Debug and improve live game systems in real time. When the community reports an exploit or economy imbalance, you will dive into telemetry, reproduce the issue, and deploy a hotfix—often within hours—while documenting root causes to prevent regression.
• Champion technical excellence by establishing code standards, peer-reviewing pull requests, and mentoring junior engineers. You will lead initiatives to refactor legacy systems, adopt new Roblox APIs, and integrate backend services that unlock richer player progression and monetization.
• Own the full feature lifecycle: ideation, prototyping, analytics instrumentation, A/B testing, launch, and post-launch iteration. You will interpret dashboards in Tableau and Snowflake to validate hypotheses and iterate until KPIs move in the right direction.
• Contribute to the broader NFL Universe roadmap by pitching original game mechanics, seasonal events, and brand partnership integrations. Your ideas could become the next touchdown celebration or halftime show that trends on social media.
• Collaborate with our backend team to design Golang micro-services on AWS that power leaderboards, matchmaking, and real-time stat tracking. You will write secure, idempotent endpoints and ensure zero-downtime deployments during peak NFL Sundays.
• Participate in quarterly on-sites (2–3× per year) in Montreal or at Roblox Developer Conference (RDC) to sync with teammates, present technical deep-dives, and celebrate launches with NFL alumni and influencers.
• Work remotely from Canada, the UK, or LATAM while aligning with EST–PST core hours. We provide top-tier hardware, ergonomic stipends, and a culture that trusts you to deliver results without micromanagement.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• 1+ years of hands-on Roblox development experience with demonstrable shipped features or games
• Strong computer-science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
• Proficiency in Roblox Lua scripting and familiarity with the Roblox engine architecture
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; able to thrive in a fully remote, collaborative environment
