📋 Description

• Join Scality, a leading FrenchTech startup and a global innovator in software-defined storage, as a Software Engineer for our Object Squad.
• We are seeking a talented and passionate Software Engineer to contribute to the development of our cutting-edge storage solutions, renowned for their technical leadership and significant open-source contributions.
• As a member of the French Tech 120 (FT120) initiative, Scality is at the forefront of technological advancement, serving over 300 customers across more than 30 countries, including major telecom operators, leading banks, prominent TV stations, and numerous hospitals.
• In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the core components of our object storage platform, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and performance.
• You will collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers, product managers, and researchers to push the boundaries of storage technology and deliver exceptional value to our diverse customer base.
• Your responsibilities will encompass the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and architecture design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
• You will tackle complex technical challenges, optimize system performance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software architecture.

• This role requires a strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms, as well as a commitment to writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• You will participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and share your knowledge with the team.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in software development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language such as C++, Java, Go, or Python.
• Familiarity with distributed systems concepts and challenges.
• Experience with storage technologies or systems is a plus.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
