• • As a Software Engineer on the Platform Team at IntusCare, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our technology by designing, building, and maintaining the core platform services and shared capabilities that underpin our entire product suite. This is a unique opportunity to work on foundational elements such as robust APIs, efficient data access services, flexible integration frameworks, and essential internal developer tooling. You will be an integral part of a collaborative environment, working closely with Senior Platform Engineers, various Product Engineering teams, and our dedicated DevOps/SRE professionals.
• • Your primary focus will be on ensuring our platform is not only scalable, reliable, and secure but also exceptionally easy for other engineering teams to build upon. A key aspect of this role involves actively embracing and integrating modern AI-powered engineering workflows to accelerate development, enhance code quality, and foster innovation across the organization. You will contribute to building the essential infrastructure that enables IntusCare to deliver cutting-edge healthcare solutions.
• • **Platform & Shared Services:**
• • Design, develop, and maintain a suite of common backend services and robust APIs that will be consumed by numerous product teams across the organization. This involves creating the building blocks for new features and products.
• • Develop and enhance foundational platform capabilities, including but not limited to:
• • Secure and efficient authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• • Flexible and performant data access and abstraction layers.
• • Scalable eventing, messaging, and sophisticated integration frameworks.
• • Centralized configuration management, dynamic feature flagging systems, and tenant-aware service architectures.
• • Ensure that all platform services are meticulously documented, properly versioned, maintain backward compatibility to facilitate seamless adoption, and are designed for ease of integration by downstream teams.
• • **Developer Enablement & AI-Assisted Engineering:**
• • Create and maintain internal libraries, Software Development Kits (SDKs), and essential tooling that significantly boost developer productivity, promote consistency in development practices, and reduce time-to-market for new features.
• • Actively leverage and champion AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code, to:
• • Dramatically accelerate the implementation and delivery of platform services.
• • Proactively improve code quality, enhance test coverage, and identify potential bugs early in the development cycle.
• • Provide valuable assistance with code refactoring, comprehensive documentation generation, and innovative design exploration.
• • Establish and enforce platform standards for API design, consistent error handling, effective logging, and comprehensive observability to ensure a high-quality developer experience.
• • **Reliability, Scalability & Observability:**
• • Architect and build platform services with a strong emphasis on high availability, horizontal scalability, and inherent fault tolerance to ensure continuous operation.
• • Implement and maintain advanced observability practices, including structured logging, comprehensive metrics collection, and distributed tracing, to provide deep insights into system performance and behavior.
• • Collaborate closely with SRE and DevOps teams to proactively identify, diagnose, and remediate systemic reliability and performance bottlenecks, ensuring the platform operates at peak efficiency.
• • **Collaboration & Execution:**
• • Work cross-functionally with Product Engineering teams to deeply understand their cross-cutting needs and effectively abstract these requirements into reusable, well-defined platform services.
• • Actively participate in architectural discussions, technical design reviews, and contribute to strategic technical decision-making processes.
• • Engage fully in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize team processes and outcomes.
