📋 Description
- • As a Software Engineer on Secure Client Engineering at College Board, you will help protect the integrity of Bluebook, the digital assessment application used by students across Windows, macOS, iPad, and ChromeOS, ensuring secure and resilient performance for mission-critical educational testing.
- • You will design and implement security-focused software solutions using mob programming practices, write production code for native and web environments, and develop deep expertise in securing client-side applications across multiple operating systems.
- • You will collaborate daily with a small, poly-skilled team of engineers to solve complex technical problems, participate in code and design reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement in engineering practices, security, and AI-augmented development workflows.
- • You will gain hands-on experience in secure software engineering, lower-level system interactions, and AI-native development practices while contributing to a meaningful mission that expands educational opportunities for students nationwide.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of production-level software development experience managing the full feature lifecycle including design, development, documentation, and deployment.
- • Demonstrated software engineering experience using one or more programming languages.
- • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues, develop solutions for non-trivial security challenges, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
- • Ability to travel 2–3 times per year to College Board offices in NYC or Reston, VA for in-person collaboration.
- • Authorization to work in the United States.
- • Commitment to learning and growth, including seeking expertise from others and turning failures into learning opportunities.

- • Competitive hiring range of $128,000–$139,000, with salary adjusted by location for fairness and transparency.
