  • • As a Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in architecting, developing, and maintaining the core components of our Simulation Workbench. This involves tackling complex challenges related to data ingestion, processing, storage, and retrieval for massive datasets generated by sophisticated simulations. You will collaborate closely with a talented team of engineers, researchers, and product managers to translate intricate scientific and engineering requirements into robust, scalable, and user-friendly software solutions.
  • • Your responsibilities will span the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation, testing, and deployment. You will be expected to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices in software engineering. A significant part of your role will involve optimizing performance for computationally intensive tasks, ensuring our platform can handle the demands of large-scale, multi-physics simulations with unparalleled speed and accuracy.

  • • Key aspects of your role will include:
  • • Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines for ingesting and processing terabytes of simulation data.
  • • Developing efficient algorithms and data structures for managing and querying complex multi-dimensional datasets.
  • • Building robust APIs and services that enable seamless integration with other components of the PhysicsX platform and external tools.
  • • Collaborating with AI/ML engineers to optimize the performance of Deep Physics Models and their integration into the simulation workflow.
  • • Contributing to the development of user-facing features within the Simulation Workbench, ensuring an intuitive and powerful experience for our users.
  • • Participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and upholding high standards for code quality and maintainability.
  • • Troubleshooting and debugging complex issues across distributed systems.
  • • Staying abreast of the latest advancements in simulation technology, AI/ML, and distributed systems, and identifying opportunities to incorporate them into our platform.
  • • Working in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • • You will be a key contributor to a product that is not just software, but a catalyst for scientific breakthroughs. The ability to understand and translate complex physical phenomena into software requirements will be highly valued. 🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • • Proven experience in software development, with a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • • Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • • Familiarity with data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Dask) and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
  • • Experience with scientific computing libraries and tools (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • • Experience with simulation software or working with large-scale scientific datasets is a plus.
  • • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
