- • Join Rollstack Inc. as a Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in revolutionizing how businesses share and communicate data and insights. Our innovative platform empowers leading companies, including SoFi, Zillow, and Whirlpool, to automate their reporting, enabling them to make faster, more informed decisions.
- • As a core member of our engineering team, you will be instrumental in building the foundational features that define the missing piece of the modern data stack: Reporting Automation. This is a unique opportunity to work across the full technology stack, contributing to critical areas such as data integrations, the development of sophisticated AI-driven insights, and the optimization of system performance.
- • Your responsibilities will span the entire development lifecycle, from designing and implementing robust database models to architecting asynchronous workflows and crafting intuitive user-facing UI components. You will have the chance to develop cutting-edge features like AI-powered insights that automatically generate narratives from data, native charting capabilities for dynamic visualizations, and flexible collection management tools.
- • A significant aspect of your role will involve optimizing our data synchronization engine. This will require leveraging advanced technologies and protocols to ensure seamless and efficient data flow, a critical component for our users who rely on up-to-date information.
- • You will also be responsible for building and enhancing integrations with a variety of essential business intelligence (BI) tools, such as Tableau, Looker, and Metabase. Furthermore, you will develop integrations with popular content platforms like Google Slides, PowerPoint, and Notion, ensuring our solution fits seamlessly into existing workflows.
- • We expect you to champion and implement best practices for modern web technologies across our entire stack. This includes defining coding standards, promoting efficient development methodologies, and ensuring the scalability and maintainability of our codebase.
- • Our tech stack is modern and forward-thinking, providing a fertile ground for innovation. You will work with TypeScript for both frontend and backend development, utilizing React with Tailwind CSS and Shadcn UI for a composable and rapidly iterating UI. On the backend, you'll leverage Node.js with Prisma ORM and Temporal workflows for building scalable services.
- • Our infrastructure is managed on AWS using Kubernetes (K8s) and deployed with Argo CD, enabling zero-downtime releases and straightforward rollbacks. We employ robust monitoring and logging tools, including SigNoz for logs, Sentry for application tracing, and PostHog for product analytics.
- • A key area of innovation is our Generative AI layer, powered by the OpenAI API, Gemini, LangChain, and Langfuse. You will contribute to building features that deliver automated insights, transforming raw data into actionable intelligence.
- • We utilize Linear for issue tracking, ensuring an agile and efficient development process.

🎯 Requirements
- • 3-8 years of relevant professional software engineering experience post-graduation.
- • At least 2 years of recent, hands-on TypeScript experience building production applications.
- • Minimum of 2 years of backend development experience with Node.js, focusing on scalable services or APIs.
- • Minimum of 2 years of frontend development experience using React, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality user interfaces.
- • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and system design principles.
