• • As a Software Engineering Lead at ABODO Inc., you will spearhead a pivotal strategic initiative to unify two of our core product engines: ApartmentIQ, a leader in multifamily real estate market intelligence, and Maven, an AI-driven marketing automation platform. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a brand-new, cross-functional "Greenfield" team from its inception, reporting directly to the CTO and shaping the future of our offerings.
• • Your primary mission will be to architect and execute the integration of deep data insights from ApartmentIQ with the generative workflow capabilities of Maven. This involves creating a seamless system where real-time market data directly triggers automated actions, transforming static reports into dynamic, actionable intelligence. Imagine a scenario where ApartmentIQ detects a vacancy or a pricing shift, and this insight automatically prompts Maven to generate and deploy engaging social media content and update listings across the web instantaneously.
• • This role demands a blend of technical leadership, hands-on coding, and strategic product thinking. You will be instrumental in defining the technical architecture for this integration, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and efficient. Your responsibilities will be balanced across several key areas: approximately 40% dedicated to architecture and coding, where you'll be actively involved in stitching together our Rails backends, data pipelines, and React frontends; 30% focused on leadership and mentorship, unblocking your team, conducting thorough code reviews, and actively contributing to their professional growth; and 30% dedicated to strategy and product collaboration, working closely with product management to define the "how" of this new unified platform.
• • You will champion modern development practices, particularly the integration and utilization of AI-assisted tooling. This includes leveraging tools like Claude Code and AI-assisted testing and code review agents as force multipliers. The goal is to enhance quality and velocity, freeing up engineers to concentrate on high-level architecture, complex problem-solving, and building impactful features. We are looking for individuals who are not only proficient but also genuinely curious and eager to explore the potential of these advanced tools.
• • A significant aspect of your role will involve architecting end-to-end solutions that connect real-time market data, stored in Postgres/PostGIS, with specific actions such as social media posting and availability updates, all orchestrated through our AI models. You will also be responsible for guiding the evolution of our unified interface, built with React and Tailwind, and the underlying API layer powered by Rails 7.
• • Operational excellence is paramount. You will partner closely with the Data Science team to guarantee the freshness and accuracy of data, as our customers rely on this information for critical decisions. This requires building and maintaining robust data pipelines. Furthermore, you will manage the development process, collaborating with Product Management on roadmap planning within Linear, ensuring that complex integration challenges are broken down into manageable, shippable increments.
