- • NEORIS, now part of EPAM, is a Digital accelerator with over 20 years of experience partnering with leading global companies to shape their future. We are a diverse team of over 4,000 professionals across 11 countries, fostering a multicultural, startup-like culture that champions innovation, continuous learning, and the creation of high-impact solutions for our clients.
- • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect specializing in Financial Crime to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in defining, governing, and overseeing the architectural landscape for our Financial Crime capabilities, ensuring robust, compliant, and future-ready solutions.
- • As a Solution Architect – Financial Crime, you will be instrumental in shaping the high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) designs for critical Financial Crime functions. This includes, but is not limited to, Transaction Screening, Name Screening, Transaction Monitoring, Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB), Case Management systems, and the underlying data architectures that support these vital operations.
- • You will provide essential architectural oversight for a range of initiatives. This includes guiding new projects from conception to implementation, managing remediation efforts for existing systems, overseeing platform upgrades to ensure they remain cutting-edge, and actively working to reduce technical debt within the Financial Crime Book of Work. Your expertise will ensure that our architectural strategies are sound and aligned with business objectives.
- • A significant aspect of this role will involve participating as a key architect in the migration of Financial Crime capabilities for TSB. This will require deep involvement in data migration and archival strategies, defining integration patterns, and making critical design decisions that uphold stringent regulatory compliance. Your contributions will be vital to the success of this complex and high-stakes project.
- • A core responsibility is to ensure that all proposed and implemented solutions strictly adhere to the target architecture, robust security standards, comprehensive data policies, and critical regulatory expectations. You will be responsible for understanding and applying the requirements set forth by regulatory bodies such as the PRA, FCA, and ECB, ensuring our systems meet and exceed compliance mandates.
- • You will proactively identify, manage, and escalate architectural risks and dependencies. This involves active participation in Risk, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) logs and contributing valuable insights in governance forums. Your ability to anticipate challenges and propose mitigation strategies will be key to maintaining project momentum and architectural integrity.
- • Collaboration is central to this role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Data, Security, Risk, and business stakeholders. This close partnership will ensure seamless integration of architectural designs into development pipelines and facilitate the efficient and timely delivery of solutions that meet both technical and business requirements.
- • This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects within the financial services sector, leveraging your expertise to combat financial crime and protect our clients and the wider financial ecosystem.
- • You will be a key player in driving architectural excellence, ensuring that our solutions are scalable, resilient, and adaptable to the evolving threat landscape and regulatory environment.
- • The role demands a strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to architectural design and governance, making it an ideal opportunity for a seasoned professional looking to make a significant impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • Over 4 years of experience as a Solution Architect within Financial Crime, Risk, or highly regulated banking environments.
- • Solid knowledge of Financial Crime domains: AML, Sanctions, Screening, Monitoring, KYC/KYB.
- • Experience designing solutions involving legacy platforms, complex data architectures, and regulatory constraints.
- • Proficiency in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid architectural models.
- • Experience working within formal architecture governance and assurance frameworks.
- • Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).
