- • As a Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) with 8-12 years of experience, you will design, develop, and maintain robust automation and reliability solutions for data platforms in an Azure SaaS environment, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability.
- • You will own the availability, reliability, scalability, and performance of production and non-production database platforms, including designing, operating, and optimizing DynamoDB, AWS RDS (PostgreSQL), Aurora, and Amazon OpenSearch environments.
- • You will partner with Platform Engineering, SRE, Cloud Operations, and R&D teams to implement tools and frameworks for seamless scaling, proactive monitoring, self-healing of data services, and secure, scalable self-service data platform workflows.
- • You will lead incident investigation and resolution, contribute to post-incident reviews, perform performance tuning, capacity planning, query optimization, and build observability using metrics, logs, and alerting.
- • You will automate provisioning and operations using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform/OpenTofu, ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, and implement backup, restore, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
- • You will work on mission-critical platforms that protect the global financial system, contributing to systems that manage over 120 million customer interactions and monitor 3+ billion financial transactions daily.
- • You will be part of NICE’s innovation-driven culture, working in a hybrid model (2 office days, 3 remote days) under the NICE-FLEX framework, reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering as an Individual Contributor.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8-12 years of experience in database reliability engineering or related roles
- • Expertise in AWS services including RDS, Aurora, IAM, Networking, and Monitoring
- • Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, Amazon OpenSearch, and time-series databases
- • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform/OpenTofu, and CI/CD/GitOps pipelines
- • Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
