Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact web and mobile applications that serve millions of Korean-speaking users across North America and Asia, translating complex business requirements into elegant, scalable code.
- • Architect and implement both backend services (RESTful APIs, micro-services, serverless functions) and modern frontend interfaces (React, Vue, Angular) while ensuring seamless bilingual support for English and Korean locales.
- • Drive the full software development lifecycle—from sprint planning and story estimation through continuous integration, automated testing, and production releases—using Agile/Scrum ceremonies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- • Lead technical design sessions with cross-functional teams that include product managers, UX designers, QA engineers, and Korean-speaking stakeholders; facilitate requirement-gathering workshops in both languages to guarantee clarity and alignment.
- • Mentor and coach junior developers through pair programming, detailed code reviews, and brown-bag sessions; establish coding standards, branching strategies, and documentation practices that raise overall team velocity and code quality.
- • Champion test-driven development by writing comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (Jest, Cypress, PyTest) and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines to achieve >80 % automated coverage and zero-regression releases.
- • Optimize application performance, security, and scalability by profiling bottlenecks, implementing caching layers (Redis, CloudFront), enforcing OWASP best practices, and conducting regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests.
- • Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Engineering to containerize applications (Docker, Kubernetes), deploy to AWS or GCP, and monitor via CloudWatch, Datadog, or New Relic; ensure 99.9 % uptime and rapid incident response for Korean-market services.
- • Research and evaluate emerging technologies—such as GraphQL, WebAssembly, or server-side rendering frameworks—and present findings to leadership with clear ROI analyses and migration roadmaps.
- • Act as the primary bilingual liaison between U.S.-based engineering teams and Korean business units, translating technical concepts into business value and vice versa; author bilingual technical documentation and runbooks.
- • Contribute to open-source projects and internal SDKs that accelerate future development, while maintaining backward compatibility and semantic versioning for enterprise clients.
- • Participate in quarterly architecture reviews, presenting system designs, capacity plans, and disaster-recovery strategies to executive stakeholders in both English and Korean.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional experience designing and developing full-stack web applications in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.
- • Fluency in both English and Korean (speaking, reading, writing) to facilitate seamless communication with Korean-speaking stakeholders and to author bilingual documentation.
- • Proven expertise with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) and backend technologies (Node.js, Spring Boot, Django, or .NET Core).
- • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI).
- • Strong understanding of RESTful API design, micro-services architecture, relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), and automated testing practices.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans with 100 % employer-paid premiums for employees and 75 % for dependents.
- • 401(k) retirement plan with 4 % company match and immediate vesting.
- • Generous paid time off including 15 days PTO, 10 paid holidays, and accrued sick hours.
- • Fully remote work environment with quarterly team-building retreats and an annual Korean cultural immersion trip.
