- • As a Senior Database Administrator at Harris Computer Systems Corporation, you will ensure the health, performance, security, and availability of mission-critical SQL Server environments in a 24x7 operations setting, directly supporting business continuity and system reliability.
- • Day to day, you will administer and optimize SQL Server databases across on-premises and Azure environments, lead troubleshooting of complex performance issues and outages, manage Always On Availability Groups and disaster recovery solutions, participate in 24x7 on-call support, drive automation via PowerShell/T-SQL, enforce security standards, and mentor junior DBAs.
- • You will join a dedicated 24x7 operations team focused on maintaining enterprise-scale database systems with high availability and resilience, working closely with development, infrastructure, and cloud teams to deliver scalable and secure database solutions.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in SQL Server internals, Always On AG, Azure database services, performance tuning, and automation, while developing leadership and mentoring skills through guiding junior team members and driving operational improvements.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator
- • Strong expertise in SQL Server architecture, internals, and troubleshooting
- • Hands-on experience with Always On Availability Groups (AG) and HADR configurations
- • Experience working in Azure (IaaS/PaaS – Azure SQL, Managed Instance) environments
- • Strong experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies
- • Experience with automation using PowerShell and T-SQL scripting
