  • • Serve as the primary adjuster for homeowner property and personal property claims, managing cases from initial investigation through final settlement.
  • • Conduct in-person and virtual inspections of damaged dwellings, other structures, and personal property to assess loss extent and document evidence through photography and detailed reporting.
  • • Investigate and evaluate moderate-to-high severity homeowner claims, determining scope of repairs and identifying cause of loss with support from subject matter experts when necessary.
  • • Prepare accurate repair estimates using the Xactimate estimating system to determine cost of restoration based on inspected damage.
  • • Negotiate agreed-upon repair costs with insured parties, Network Repair Program (NRP) contractors, or the insured’s chosen contractors.
  • • Oversee the entire repair process to ensure completion aligned with settlement terms and policy coverage.
  • • Settle and pay dwelling or other structure damages after completing thorough coverage analysis and regulatory compliance review.
  • • Maintain full regulatory compliance for all claim files through accurate documentation, timely correspondence, and adherence to state and company guidelines.
  • • May be required to assign, coordinate, and supervise independent adjusters on assigned claims.
  • • Progress toward achieving Level 5 Homeowner Adjuster competency as defined by company standards.
  • • Travel locally within the Philadelphia, PA region and surrounding areas to conduct field inspections and meet with policyholders or contractors.
  • • Work primarily from home in a remote-first environment with flexibility to work from various locations, including occasional access to CSAA offices.
  • • Communicate directly with insureds, contractors, and internal teams to ensure clarity, transparency, and timely resolution of claims.
  • • Ensure all claim activities align with CSAA Insurance Group’s mission of helping members prevent, prepare for, and recover from life’s uncertainties.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 6+ years of related professional experience with transferrable skills
  • • 4+ years of claims experience with preferred emphasis on homeowner claims
  • • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or higher may substitute for 2 years of experience
  • • Knowledge of Xactimate repair estimating system
  • • Knowledge of homeowner insurance policies and procedures
  • • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record, or alternative transportation to safely transport large/heavy equipment between sites
