📋 Description
- • As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at A Place for Mom, you will be at the forefront of innovation, tasked with the critical responsibility of designing, building, and scaling robust, production-grade machine learning and Generative AI systems. Your work will directly impact our mission to simplify the senior care search, empowering families with personalized and effective solutions.
- • This role is pivotal in developing advanced ML and LLM-powered applications that harness the power of both structured and unstructured data to drive significant business outcomes and enhance the user experience for families navigating the complexities of senior care.
- • You will be instrumental in transforming data science prototypes into fully realized, scalable production systems, employing cutting-edge GenAI architectures such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), sophisticated prompt engineering techniques, advanced embedding models, and efficient vector databases.
- • Your expertise will be crucial in tackling complex problems that involve multilayered datasets, requiring you to optimize existing machine learning libraries and frameworks to achieve peak performance and accuracy.
- • A key responsibility will be the construction of highly optimized data pipelines, meticulously designed to feed both traditional ML models and the more intricate LLM-based systems, ensuring seamless data flow and integrity.
- • You will conduct rigorous machine learning tests and experiments, meticulously documenting all findings and results to inform future development and strategic decisions.
- • Beyond development, you will own the critical aspects of model maintenance and monitoring. This includes implementing and overseeing comprehensive model and data quality checks to guarantee the ongoing accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our deployed models and pipelines.
- • Ensuring the high performance, reliability, and responsible deployment of all ML and LLM solutions in production environments will be a core tenet of your role, maintaining the trust and effectiveness of our AI systems.
- • You will manage the entire model lifecycle, from initial deployment through retraining, continuous performance monitoring, and iterative improvement, ensuring our AI capabilities remain state-of-the-art.
- • Collaboration is key: you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to translate intricate business requirements into practical, scalable AI/ML and GenAI solutions.
- • Your contribution to system architecture and technical design will be invaluable, shaping the future of our AI infrastructure.
- • You will provide essential technical guidance and support for all AI/ML initiatives, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding and alignment.
- • You will play a significant role in establishing and promoting AI engineering standards and best practices across the entire organization, elevating the collective expertise in AI development.
- • Creating and maintaining comprehensive, high-quality documentation for all ML and GenAI systems is a vital part of this role. This includes detailed prompt libraries, robust evaluation frameworks, and clear architectural decision records.
- • You will be responsible for establishing and championing best practices across MLOps, LLMOps, and AI system governance, ensuring our AI development is efficient, secure, and ethical.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of families by leveraging advanced AI and ML technologies to improve the senior care search experience, aligning with A Place for Mom's mission-driven culture.
