  • • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of senior data and analytics engineers, including hiring, performance management, career development, and setting technical standards.
  • • Define and own the data engineering and analytics roadmap aligned with company goals, prioritizing investments in data platform capabilities, reporting infrastructure, and cross-functional analytics initiatives.
  • • Oversee the design, reliability, scalability, and governance of the company’s core data infrastructure including data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration systems, semantic layers, and BI tooling.
  • • Ensure business stakeholders across product, operations, finance, sales, marketing, and executive leadership have accurate, timely, and actionable dashboards, metrics, and ad hoc analysis to drive data-informed decisions.
  • • Drive the organization-wide adoption of self-service analytics by building trusted, well-documented datasets and enabling access through AI-powered natural language interfaces with strong governance controls.
  • • Establish and enforce enterprise-wide standards for data accuracy, lineage, documentation, access controls, privacy, security, auditability, and compliance with regulations including SOX, SOC2, GDPR, and data residency requirements.
  • • Partner directly with executives and cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into data strategy, analytics products, and measurable outcomes that improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • • Maintain and evolve the modern data stack including tools such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Looker, Tableau, and Power BI to support scalable and secure data workflows.
  • • Implement robust data quality practices including monitoring, validation, and anomaly detection to ensure trust in all analytical outputs used for critical business decisions.
  • • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of trusted data products—from ingestion and modeling to visualization and consumption—ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory obligations.
  • • Champion data governance initiatives to create a culture of data accountability, transparency, and reuse across departments.
  • • Collaborate with robotics, machine learning, and computer vision teams to ensure data infrastructure supports real-time and batch analytics needs for fleet operations and customer behavior insights.
  • • Build and maintain documentation for data definitions, pipelines, schemas, and access policies to ensure consistency and knowledge retention across teams.
  • • Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies in data engineering and analytics to continuously improve platform performance, usability, and security.
  • • Serve as the primary point of contact for data-related inquiries from leadership, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with strategic objectives.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 6+ years of professional experience in data engineering and analytics including 2+ years experience leading teams of Sr. Data/Analytics Engineers.
  • • Proven experience managing data engineering, analytics engineering, BI, or analytics teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and roadmap planning.
  • • Deep understanding of data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration, data modeling, BI platforms, semantic layers, and data quality practices.
  • • Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • • Demonstrated ability to build trusted, governed data products and enable organization-wide self-service analytics via AI-powered natural language interfaces with controls for accuracy, security, and compliance.
  • • Experience establishing data governance standards including SOX, SOC2, GDPR, and international data residency requirements.
