📋 Description

• As a Senior Platform Engineer at Hims & Hers Health, Inc., you will build and operate the developer platform that powers the company’s services, with a focus on AI-native tooling to enable product teams to deliver faster and more reliably. You will design and maintain systems that serve both engineers and AI agents as first-class users, driving adoption of standardized workflows and guardrails across the organization.
• Day to day, you will maintain and extend Backstage-based service templating, build and scale agent golden paths for AI deployment, lead Istio service mesh adoption, define platform guardrails via scorecards and CI policies, own core components like Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with product teams to refine workflows, manage large-scale migrations, and measure developer experience to prioritize platform improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years as a DevOps, SRE, Software, or Platform Engineer building and operating services and tooling
• Production experience with Backstage (or similar developer portal), service catalogs, and software templates
• Depth in cloud + containers (AWS, Kubernetes, Istio), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar), and CI/CD
• Proficient coding skills in at least one of TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Java, or Python
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent years of experience
