- • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in defining how millions of users interact with Jerry's core products. You will collaborate intimately with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists, translating intricate problems and vast datasets into clear, intuitive, and visually stunning user experiences. Your responsibilities will span the entire design lifecycle, from initial user flow mapping and wireframing to the meticulous refinement of high-fidelity visuals and the creation of interactive prototypes that breathe life into innovative concepts. The impact of your work will directly empower drivers to make more informed, confident, and easy decisions regarding their car insurance, safety, and maintenance needs.
- • You will be a key partner in defining user problems, simplifying data-intensive interfaces, and architecting elegant solutions that yield measurable business and user outcomes. This involves creating comprehensive user flows, developing both low- and high-fidelity wireframes, crafting engaging prototypes, and producing polished UI assets for features across Jerry’s diverse product suite. A significant part of your role will involve leading UX explorations for particularly complex challenges, meticulously structuring workflows that demystify car ownership and management, making it feel inherently simple and intuitive for every user.
- • Your design process will be deeply informed by data. You will actively leverage user research findings, product analytics, and the results of A/B testing and experimentation to guide your design decisions and rigorously validate your proposed solutions. This data-driven approach ensures that our designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly effective and user-centric. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in the evolution of our design system, collaborating closely with other designers to maintain consistency, scalability, and a high standard of craft across both our mobile and web platforms. A forward-thinking aspect of this role involves thoughtfully applying AI capabilities to enhance clarity, deliver personalized experiences, and introduce greater automation within the user journey, further simplifying car ownership.
- • At Jerry, you won't be a small part of a vast design department. You will enjoy direct collaboration with key leaders, including Kruise Sapstein, Head of Design, who is dedicated to fostering Jerry’s product design vision and cultivating a high-performing, craft-driven design culture. You will also work closely with Art Agrawal, CEO & Head of Product, who influences the company's strategic direction and the overall customer experience at the executive level. Your immediate team will be part of a larger product organization comprising 11 Product Managers, 55 Engineers, and 12 Analysts/Data Scientists, all united by a shared passion (🚗) for building a best-in-class consumer experience. This collaborative environment fosters rapid iteration, shared learning, and a collective drive to solve real-world problems.

🎯 Requirements
- • A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional UX thinking, data-informed decision-making, and the design of clean, intuitive interfaces for consumer-facing products.
- • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience designing sophisticated consumer-facing mobile or web products, gained either in-house or at a reputable agency.
- • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data and demanding product requirements into simple, elegant, and user-friendly workflows.
- • Proven comfort and effectiveness in collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define project scope, prioritize solutions, and iterate rapidly on designs.
- • Proficiency in Figma and hands-on experience with rapid prototyping tools to effectively communicate design concepts and user flows.
- • Solid understanding of design systems, with experience in utilizing or contributing to their evolution to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
