- • Design and own the end-to-end user experience for new growth initiatives and feature iterations that drive member acquisition and engagement on Dave’s mobile-first financial platform.
- • Translate ambiguous business opportunities and user needs into clear, shippable product experiences through rapid prototyping, research, and data-informed iteration.
- • Partner with Product, Engineering, Research, Marketing, Brand, Legal, and Compliance teams to align on strategy, define requirements, and launch high-impact experiences at scale.
- • Lead strategic discovery efforts to identify and validate growth levers, using both traditional research methods and AI-augmented design workflows to accelerate ideation and testing.
- • Design mobile-first interfaces that balance short-term conversion goals with long-term brand trust, user equity, and regulatory compliance in the financial services space.
- • Ensure growth experiments integrate seamlessly into the broader product ecosystem, contributing to and evolving shared design systems and patterns as features mature.
- • Communicate design rationale clearly and persuasively to cross-functional stakeholders, championing decisions grounded in member impact, business outcomes, and product quality.
- • Mentor junior designers and peers by providing constructive feedback, facilitating early-stage thinking sessions, and raising the overall quality and consistency of the design team’s output.
- • Build and refine designs that serve financially vulnerable populations, including those living paycheck to paycheck or with non-traditional income, ensuring accessibility, clarity, and empathy in every interaction.
- • Own the visual and interaction design of key growth touchpoints — from first-time app discovery and onboarding to referral programs and retention features — ensuring cohesive, high-fidelity experiences.
- • Iterate continuously based on real-world usage data, A/B test results, and user feedback to optimize conversion, retention, and satisfaction metrics across growth funnel stages.
- • Contribute to the definition of Dave’s design language for growth products, maintaining alignment with brand identity while pushing innovation in financial product design.
- • Work in a virtual-first, fast-paced environment where autonomy, ownership, and ambiguity are expected; thrive in environments that value 0→1 creation over incremental tweaks.
- • Present design work to leadership and cross-functional teams, connecting design choices to measurable outcomes in member behavior and business growth.
- • Stay current with evolving fintech trends, regulatory frameworks, and emerging design tools to ensure Dave’s growth products remain competitive, compliant, and user-centric.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of product design experience in fintech or other scaled consumer products
- • Strong experience taking products or major features from idea to launch
- • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end thinking, strong craft, and iteration over time
- • Deep expertise in mobile-first design
- • Strong visual design paired with practical UX judgment
- • Fluency in Figma and modern, AI-augmented design workflows
