- • Architect and ship core mobile commerce product features that are durable, fast, and clean, working across frontend, backend, and database layers to deliver measurable impact.
- • Design and implement proactive AI agent orchestration layers used by thousands of high-growth Shopify brands to enhance shopper experiences and drive conversions.
- • Prototype and iterate on novel human-agent interaction patterns that redefine how merchants and shoppers engage with mobile commerce platforms.
- • Dogfood Tapcart’s own platform and apps daily to deeply understand merchant pain points and ensure product quality from the user’s perspective.
- • Collaborate side-by-side with the CEO, product designers, and key stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business outcomes and merchant needs.
- • Maintain and elevate engineering standards by reviewing code, mentoring peers, and holding the line on code quality, performance, and maintainability.
- • Engage directly with merchants to gather feedback, validate assumptions, and ship iterative improvements that deliver value quickly and consistently.
- • Contribute to recruiting efforts by evaluating technical candidates, participating in interviews, and helping build a team of high-standard engineers.
- • Work on a platform processing $15B+ in revenue and serving 200M+ shoppers worldwide, with brands like Princess Polly, Béis, Forever 21, and Young LA relying on your work.
- • Operate in a lean team with minimal management layers, where autonomy, ownership, and direct impact are core to the culture.
- • Use Tapcart’s platform daily as a primary tool, ensuring all engineering decisions are grounded in real-world merchant usage and performance metrics.
- • Ship constantly in a high-velocity environment where code is core to everything — engineers, product, and leadership all contribute directly to building.
- • Prioritize craftsmanship in software development, with a strong preference for elegant, performant, and well-documented code over quick fixes.
- • Demonstrate passion for AI agents by using them daily and being able to articulate software that inspires you in terms of design, architecture, or user experience.
