📋 Description

• As a Sr Site Reliability Engineer at SigNoz, you will own the reliability, scalability, and operability of the SigNoz cloud platform, ensuring a petabyte-scale observability system remains fast, dependable, and trustworthy for engineering teams worldwide.
• Day to day, you will work on SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, incident response, on-call practices, scaling the ingest path for burst resilience, SaaS auto-scalability, capacity planning, operating and tuning ClickHouse and the data layer, Kubernetes cluster operations, upgrades, multi-tenancy, automation, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and improving SigNoz’s own observability through dogfooding.
• You will join a high-caliber, remote-first platform team responsible for the infra, scalability of SaaS, ingest pipelines, staging environments, automation, and the operational backbone of SigNoz — an open-source observability platform with 27,000+ GitHub stars, 800+ customers, and a 7,000+ member Slack community.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in large-scale distributed systems, gain hands-on experience with ClickHouse and Kubernetes at scale, contribute to open-source observability, improve your Go coding and automation skills, and help shape the future of cloud-native observability while working with a team that values ownership, clarity, and shipping impact.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8 years in SRE, infrastructure, or platform/backend roles operating production systems at scale
• Deep, practical Kubernetes experience — including resource tuning, autoscaling, networking, stateful workloads, upgrades, and failure modes under load
• Strong grasp of distributed systems failure modes, performance debugging, and capacity planning
• Comfortable in code (Go preferred) — ability to automate and fix systems, not just configure them
• Strong communication skills — able to write clear runbooks, tech docs, and explain trade-offs effectively
